To cope with the flood of requests, they decided to start automating, using a Yarado software robot. Office Manager Anneke Veenstra and Sustainability Team Leader Marc de Linde explain.
First back in time before Yarado comes to help. Marc de Linde: "Preparing a property quote was completely manual. Processing a mail, checking it against the rules and then preparing and sending the quotation. Now that's faster. Marc: "All quotations are picked up by the robot, automatically checked against the rules and sent out. It goes a lot faster"

This increased productivity ensures that the people in the office at Energy Inspection have more time for the important things. Anneke Veenstra: "It's a waste to have people doing repetitive input work. With the time they now save, they can pay more attention to the customer and Energie Inspectie can focus more on acquiring new customers." Marc concurs: "Because of tight labor markets, good people are scarce. At the same time, those people spend 60% of their time doing repetitive work. We have now been able to reduce that to 10%."

Was it difficult to get started with Yarado? Anneke: "We just took it on and started with a pilot. We liked it so much that it has only grown from there. If you figure out in advance what you want and how you want to implement it, you will be fine. Just start, you automatically run into things." Marc: "It really goes in steps. You set something up and then you see other things you can automate. That's how we went from 30 percent to 70 percent automated in 20 small steps.
And how do you like Yarado so far? Anneke: "I am very satisfied with the way Yarado thinks along with us, how quickly you solve things, how accessible you are and how proactive you are when things don't quite work out." Marc: "The whole service is really good." Working with Yarado has also made Energy Inspection sharper on efficiency. Anneke: "We often ask our people: this operation, how often do you do it? How long does it take? We think about that more consciously now than before." Marc: "With every button we press repeatedly, we think: why actually?"
