Livio is a healthcare provider specializing in nursing, care and home care (of the elderly). It employs over 2,700 people and also a lot of volunteers. In order for those people to do their jobs as well as possible, Livio is always looking for ways to become more efficient.
"Livio can continue to grow and employees can develop by spending less time on administrative, predictable tasks. You can't put the energy that goes into stupid actions into things to improve yourself. Yarado fits with our plan for the coming years to improve ourselves across the board."

successful automation
operational online
Livio is in the process of eliminating the red tape surrounding care. With Yarado, the organization has a partner who helps identify the processes, implement and maintain the robots. This allows more and more employees to focus completely on the patient.
Livio patients notice that Livio staff can take more time to engage with the patient. Personal contact is always appreciated.
Bert Peper is ICT Advisor at Livio
Livio is a care provider specialized in nursing, care and home care (of the elderly). It employs over 2700 people and a lot of volunteers as well. To let these people do their work as well as possible, Livio is always looking for ways to become more efficient. Bert Peper, ICT Advisor, is one of the people at Livio who deals with this on a daily basis.
"We always want to be more efficient at Livio, Yarado helps us do that."
No more manual retyping
At the moment, Livio employees still perform many routine actions. Bert: "In 2023, for example, a migration of the Electronic Client Dossier (ECD) to a new application is planned. We did this in 2021, and all the files of over 1,000 clients were still being typed over. Next time, we will have the software robot do this." This is part of a culture change within Livio according to Bert. "Traditionally, people are used to doing actions and tasks themselves that can easily be automated. That's why we want to switch with Livio from being more task-oriented to process- and data-oriented."
Checking Registrations
What exactly does the Yarado software robot help with? Bert: "Healthcare providers sometimes forget to validate their routes. As a result, they work hours that we can't invoice. That's a shame, of course. The next step is to have the robot check whether a client's registration corresponds with what the insurance company says he or she is entitled to. We want to avoid filling in things that someone is not entitled to according to the insurance."
"People are traditionally inclined to do actions that you can easily automate."
How did Livio actually come into contact with Yarado? Bert: "My supervisor was familiar with Yarado and Robotic Process Automation (RPA). He asked me if it could be something for us. Then I came up with a first use case, to test the robot as it were. I have it fill in a field in our database of caregivers. To do this, the robot has to open drop-down menus and search in texts, among other things. It can do that very well, I find it impressive how it can read symbols and characters. "
Skynet from Terminator, but benign
They started small at Livio with an initial use case and are and now are working to involve the entire organization. You can imagine that there are many opportunities for a company with 2,700 employees. In the meantime, the robot also has a name. Bert: "Skynet, from Terminator. Although we assume that the Yarado robot will not turn against us, like in the movies."
Bert notices that the care providers are happy with the use of the robot for handling client registrations, because it saves them administrative work. Bert: "We find this important, because this is really about the people who provide care to the elderly. This is where you have to start. They are not waiting to start typing up files. They want to help people. That's only logical. This allows them to pick up work that would normally remain unattended."
"Caregivers aren't sitting around waiting for file to be typed over."
Personal development thanks to the robot
According to Bert, the main benefit of using Yarado is in the growth and development opportunities. Bert: "Livio can grow further and employees can develop because they spend less time on administrative, predictable tasks. You can't put the energy that goes into stupid actions into things to improve yourself. Yarado fits our plan for the coming years to improve ourselves in the full breadth."
What is actually the biggest advantage of using the Yarado software robot? Bert: "It saves time and you have the assurance that an administrative task will actually be performed. It works in the background, 24/7 and with complete certainty. You can't get that with human hands. In addition, I think the support from Yarado is very good. That's necessary, because the robot can do a lot."
"From the first presentation to now. Yarado is professional, customer focused and knowledgeable."
Beautiful words
When we ask Bert for his unvarnished opinion on Yarado's deployment as a whole, he has some nice words: "From the first presentation from Yarado, I got a good impression. Professional, but also flexible. Customer-oriented, knowledgeable, I'm just very positive. I have personal contact with developer Dylan from Yarado and he immediately asked the right questions about our processes. That's nice and easy to talk to."
Plenty of opportunities
In the future, Bert thinks they will be expanding the range of tasks for the software robot at Livio. Bert: "There are still so many opportunities. Maybe we'll need a second robot soon."
