Vattenfall is an energy supplier serving two million business and residential customers in the Netherlands. An organization of this size naturally faces a large administrative workload. To address that problem, the energy party, which aims to create a fossil-free society as soon as possible, entered into talks with Yarado.
Employees were spending hours a day entering and checking data, when they should be focusing on their core tasks. By making the input system more user-friendly, Vattenfall was able to save a lot of time, while the headache of the endless, repetitive work has now gone away from its employees.

increase in productivity
Vattenfall is trying to make a difference in Dutch society by making the transition to green power as quickly as possible. To ensure that there are no kinks in the cable, however, Vattenfall must ensure internally that everything is streamlined. Data entry and checking is automatic at Vattenfall, which saves time and money, and removes frustration from its employees.
Vattenfall customers will feel the effects of automation in the speed with which they are served. Technical staff are scarce, and the more time technical staff spend on administrative matters, the less they can focus on what they are trained for.
Vattenfall mechanics had to repeat endless steps to get the necessary information from the SAP system. They had to work their way through various tabs within the SAP system. Not only to gather the relevant information that was needed per customer, but also to indicate the progression for each customer.
This administrative burden cost the mechanics a great deal of time. In fact, at least 50 percent of the hours worked were spent by the employees on administrative tasks. Not only did this frustrate the mechanics, but it also significantly limited the company's productivity. Moreover, it took two full-time employees to fish out the incorrectly entered data to keep the information in the SAP system up to par.
Yarado created a Web interface that allowed mechanics to enter necessary information in one place, without the need to go through multiple SAP tabs. In addition, manual actions are no longer required in the SAP system and Vattenfall needs fewer licenses for the system, saving costs. They are now doing the optimum within the licenses they have. Employees now need less time per customer, while the information entered meets quality requirements. This provides additional transparency for the entire organization.
